As a LEGO® User Group Ambassador and an Environmental Specialist, I was beyond thrilled when we were selected by the LEGO® Group to create and photograph models/creations for their Plants from Plants Campaign. I wholeheartedly believe that a critical element to Sustainability is having a product that is built to last and can get past on to generations, and is seldom tossed out. (we will take any elements people want to toss out) In that light, LEGO® elements are one of the most sustainable products, and now they have beyond to use sugar cane to replace some of the components in creating the ABS plastic bricks. First we created an Ocean Scene, then we created a plant based character and showed it over four seasons. It is now on the LEGO® Website!! https://www.lego.com/en-us/themes/plantsfromplants. I don't ever care that my name was spelled wrong. Thanks to our photographer Tim Rice timricephoto.com.
The first LEGO® plants made from plants have arrived and We were there!
